Past Performance

Takhox e2 and DRT Strategies have united in a strategic partnership to deliver premier solutions, driving innovation and excellence in support of critical Public Health missions. The past performance examples showcased represent the proven expertise of DRT Strategies.

Centers for Disease Control (CDC), Center for State, Tribal, Local & Territorial Support (CSTLTS) Public Health Infrastructure (PHI)

DRT Strategies (DRT) provides integrated communication/marketing, program planning, project management, evaluation, strategic and tactical planning, financial management, grants administration/management, and general business management/administration to the CDC’s Center for State, Tribal, Local & Territorial Support (CSTLTS). DRT assists CSTLTS leadership and staff in developing and supporting an array of communication products and projects for internal and external audiences including digital and social media. We develop content and provide review and oversight for CSTLTS Internet and Intranet sites and social media/promotion channels. DRT Strategies makes recommendations to implement strategies to improve identified successful STLT practices that advance the public health system. We provide support to CSTLTS’ data management capabilities, specifically organization, access to datasets, data collection instruments, and processes yielded from survey research and evaluation studies. In addition, we support planning, assessments and evaluation studies. We work closely with CDC programs in other CIOs to identify specific strategies that use laws and policies to improve public health processes and outcomes including, but not limited to, Global Health, Environmental Health, Chronic Health, and Infectious Disease.

CDC Center for State, Tribal, Local, and Territorial Support (CSTLTS) Web, IT, and Graphics, Support

DRT develops, manages, and enhances CSTLTS’ external websites (over 5000 subpages of content). We review website statistics (using Site Catalyst and Google Analytics) and use the findings to improve search engine optimization and information architecture. We use Adobe Analytics business intelligence to assess website traffic and identify which pages are the most visited. Redesign efforts are based on the results of our analysis and result in updates that are what users actually need. Before posting web pages, we perform cross-browser testing. From the updates DRT has made to date, the site has provided improved navigation, updated content, and a more user-friendly interface. DRT follows CDC methodologies and guidelines such as the Enterprise Performance Lifecycle (EPLC)/UP framework; OMB guidelines; and Waterfall, Agile, and Kanban development methodologies. We also provide technical support within the ITIL framework. DRT uses programs and languages such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Expression Web, HTML, CSS, XML, JSON, and JavaScript.

Food & Drug Administration (FDA) Center for Food Safety & Nutrition (CFSAN) Business Process Management, Information Technology (IT) Program Management (PM), & IT Scientific PM Support Services

In 2020, FDA transitioned from SharePoint 2010 to SharePoint Online, which posed an immediate need at CFSAN to prioritize efforts in reengineering existing SharePoint 2010 forms and workflows in the new Microsoft O365 environment. DRT assessed the as-is architecture, design, and documentation of the SharePoint 2010 system and facilitated requirements sessions with CFSAN’s Operations & Maintenance staff to gain an in-depth understanding of their processes. DRT evaluated FDA’s enterprise Microsoft O365 capabilities and learned the limitations/constraints of FDA’s SharePoint Tenant early in the project. DRT documented the requirements, developed process models, and leveraged agile methodologies to design, test, and implement the system in a 6-week period, following and complying with EPLC guidelines. DRT delivered the Parking Management System leveraging Microsoft Power Apps as the front-end interface partnered with SharePoint online lists for inserting and saving web form data submitted by users. These solutions were integrated into a Power Automate workflow, leveraging Power Apps triggers, which orchestrated the end-toend automated workflow. This workflow included the delivery of automated user notifications to users and the Parking Management team throughout the permit lifecycle. CFSAN achieved a high Return on Investment and value add compared to alternatives that were being initially analyzed which would have resulted in a lengthier delivery timeline (six (6)-eight (8) months vs. six (6) weeks) and higher investment costs (saved nearly $300K).

United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO) Support

DRT provides direct s ACIO Support to the USDA Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Information Solutions Division (ISD) Assistant Chief Information Officer (ACIO) with implementing laws, regulations, and policies while facilitating evolving practices that improve the strategy, leadership, and management of FPAC programs and information systems. DRT helped to implement new IT governance processes for FPAC’s Investment Review Boards (IRB) by leveraging existing processes and best practices to develop new guidance, templates, and training materials. DRT’s solutions for FPAC’s enterprise and program management needs ensured standardization and horizontal alignment of projects and investment management process across the agency. DRT developed enterprise-wide reporting templates and balanced score cards to improve the investment level visibility, inform decision making, ensure vertical alignment of agency goals and objectives with project activities, and strengthen lines of communication between IT and business stakeholders.
